Launch of the New Generation Aircraft Recovery System
The Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO) applauds the Kenya Airports Authority on the launch of the New Generation Aircraft Recovery System, a transformative addition to airport emergency preparedness and safety operations.
Representing the Association at this landmark occasion was KAAO Board Member,Capt. Raphael Wamwati. HSC and KAAO Stakeholder Lead, Sally Ngunjiri, whose presence underscored the spirit of collaboration and partnership between KAAO and KAA in championing advancements that fortify our aviation ecosystem.
This state-of-the-art equipment will bolster KAA’s ability to swiftly and effectively respond to aircraft incidents, including the safe and efficient recovery of disabled aircraft, minimizing operational disruptions while safeguarding passengers, crew, and airport operations.
By enhancing the capacity to remove disabled aircraft from runways or taxiways with speed and precision, this system will protect vital infrastructure, uphold the continuity of air transport services, and reinforce confidence in the resilience and safety of Kenya’s aviation sector.
