Our commitment
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where practical. Accessibility is treated as part of the build rather than as something added afterwards, and no accessibility overlay is used.
What this means in practice
- Every page uses semantic HTML with one main heading and a logical heading order.
- All functionality — including the menu, the FAQ accordions and the member directory filters — works with a keyboard alone.
- Focus is always visible, and a skip link takes you straight to the main content.
- Text meets the minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background; large text and interface components meet 3:1.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative images are marked as decorative.
- Forms have real labels, and errors are described in words rather than by colour alone.
- Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The site works without JavaScript; JavaScript only makes some interactions more convenient.
Known limitations
Some documents published before this website was rebuilt may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need a document in an accessible format, please ask and we will provide one.
