KYC Series: Safari Express Cargo Ltd

On 22nd January 2026, the Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO) launched its first member visit of the year with one of our esteemed member, Safari Express Cargo Ltd., a leading Kenyan cargo airline and logistics operator based in Nairobi, established in 2004. This visit marked the beginning of KAAO’s structured member engagement programme for 2026, aimed at strengthening relationships, understanding operational realities, and ensuring members’ voices are heard.

The visit was led by KAAO’s Stakeholder Lead, Sally Ngunjiri, Admin Officer, Lydiah Magu, and hosted by Moses Nzomo, the Accountable Manager at Safari Express Cargo Ltd, who graciously took the time to walk us through the different departments and share insights into the company’s day-to-day processes and challenges.

Safari Express Cargo plays a crucial role in supporting air cargo connectivity and logistics efficiency in the region, acting as a key link between cargo demand and reliable air transport services from Kenya to international destinations.

The company has built its presence in the regional cargo market and has worked to modernise operations through strategic partnerships, including a recent collaboration to adopt an advanced cargo management system designed to optimise cargo booking, operations, tracking, rating, scheduling, and customer service — demonstrating its commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

These visits are part of KAAO’s commitment to truly knowing our customers (members) (KYC), strengthening communication, and ensuring that our advocacy reflects the real needs of the sector. These are not just courtesy calls—they are strategic engagements designed to build trust, gather insights, and create meaningful value for both members and the association.

KAAO will continue these member visits throughout 2026, engaging with different departments, meeting accountable managers and key personnel, and ensuring that every member feels valued, heard, and supported. By deepening our understanding of operational challenges and opportunities, we aim to foster stronger partnerships, enhance member services, and contribute to the sustainable growth of Kenya’s aviation sector.
