Election of Wilson Airport Aircraft Operators Committee Leadership

Election of Wilson Airport Aircraft Operators Committee Leadership

With great honor, we present to you and welcome the newly elected leadership of the Wilson Airport Airline Operators Committee (AOC): 1. Chairman: Mohammed Ayub Hussein – ALS Limited 2. Vice Chairlady: Esther Kihara – Z.Boskovic Air Charters Ltd 3. Secretary: Murugi Njama – Aerosafe Africa Consultants

Entrusted with stewarding coordination, safety, and operational excellence at Wilson Airport, this leadership team will be supported by a 13-member committee nominated by AOC members, a diverse and experienced group drawn from across the aerodrome’s operational environment.

This marks the beginning of a renewed chapter of purposeful engagement, collaborative oversight, and strengthened representation, all anchored in the shared goal of advancing safe, efficient, and secure aerodrome operations.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the new leadership and reaffirm our continued commitment to working closely with the Committee to drive progress and operational excellence at this great airport. The Wilson Airport Airline Operators Committee (AOC) stands as a structured forum established under the Kenya Civil Aviation (Aerodromes) Regulations, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) operational guidelines, and aligned with the global standards outlined in ICAO Annexes 14 and 19.

At its core, the Committee exists to foster coordination, consultation, and collaboration between airline operators, regulatory bodies, airport authorities, and stakeholders, all working in concert to promote the safe, efficient, and secure operation of Wilson Airport through intentional, stakeholder-driven engagement.

Recognizing the significance of this mandate, the Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO) has, over the past several months, undertaken the responsibility of coordinating and facilitating the reconstitution of the Wilson Airport AOC, a process rooted in inclusivity, accountability, and the advancement of industry-wide best practices.

Yesterday, this process culminated in a key milestone as members of the AOC Wilson Airport convened for the election of a new committee, ushering in a refreshed era of collective stewardship, operational excellence, and strengthened dialogue across one of Kenya’s busiest aerodrome.
