On Thursday, 24 September 2026, the Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO) joined AviaDev Africa for an engaging live podcast exploring the current state and future of Kenyan aviation.
The conversation brought together aviation industry leaders to examine the challenges and opportunities shaping the sector, including Kenya’s position as a regional aviation hub, industry growth, infrastructure, market development, and the need for continued collaboration across the aviation ecosystem.
Representing KAAO were Eng. Liz Aluvanze, CEO of KAAO, and Mbuvi Ngunze, Chairman of the KAAO Board, who shared perspectives from the operators’ and industry’s standpoint. The discussion was hosted by Jon Howell, CEO and Founder of AviaDev Africa, alongside Sean Mendis.
The conversation also featured Karanja Ndegwa, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Jambojet, and Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial & Customer Officer of Kenya Airways, bringing perspectives from Kenya’s airline sector.
