KAAO Board Convenes to Drive Industry Growth.

On Thursday, 19th June, the Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO) held its scheduled bi-monthly board meeting—an important forum that brought together leadership, stakeholders, and members to reflect, strategize, and align on the way forward for Kenya’s aviation industry.

This meeting went beyond routine updates. It served as a key platform to assess recent milestones, tackle current challenges, and renew our collective commitment to building a safe, efficient, and sustainable aviation ecosystem in Kenya.

Board discussions were wide-ranging and impactful—touching on critical topics such as member feedback, evolving regulatory frameworks, infrastructure priorities, and the need for greater collaboration between aviation agencies and partners. These conversations underscored the pivotal role KAAO plays in shaping a dynamic and future-ready aviation landscape.

A highlight of the session was the official welcome of five new member organizations to the KAAO network:

  • DHL

  • Spenser West

  • Aviation Tax Solutions

  • Africair, Inc.

  • Northlands Aerodrome

The inclusion of these respected organizations enhances our association’s diversity, capacity, and influence. We look forward to engaging them as valuable contributors to our mission of representing the interests of air operators and supporting sector growth.

This gathering reaffirmed the core values that define KAAO: collaboration, vision, and a unified purpose. Together, we continue to elevate aviation as a vital pillar of Kenya’s national development agenda.
